The hotel is small, with 16 spacious bungalows. Guests can choose between beachside or garden-facing bungalows. With a modern tropical style, the décor brings character to the space, blending subtle colors and natural materials that harmonize with the surrounding beach and lagoon, allowing the hotel to seamlessly blend into its natural surroundings.
I chose a beachfront bungalow. The terrace opens directly onto the beach: just a few barefoot steps across the terrace and a small lawn (where kayaks are also available for your enjoyment) lead you right onto the intimate hotel beach.
The bungalows at NIU Beach feel like small, cozy apartments—fully equipped and designed for longer stays. You'll find everything needed for a stress-free getaway, from a hair dryer, soaps, and towels to a coffee maker and kettle. The kitchen is fully stocked, making it easy to cook your own meals as comfortably as you would at home, complete with an oven and dishwasher. This is especially convenient for families who benefit from flexible meal times and planning.
Beyond being well-equipped, each bungalow is thoughtfully designed with attention to detail. The interiors are finished beautifully, creating a harmonious color scheme and featuring natural materials like wood and cotton, adding a cozy feel to the modern decor.
Each bungalow has an air-conditioned bedroom that opens up to the living area with sliding doors, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. The spacious terrace facing the beach is furnished with a table, chairs, and comfortable loungers.
The hotel also offers two other types of bungalows: a garden bungalow, which includes a living area with a lounge, kitchen, and a terrace with dining table and loungers, and a duplex garden bungalow designed for larger groups. The duplex includes a sofa bed and two single beds. Each bungalow has a private terrace where guests can savor sunset views or enjoy a morning coffee overlooking the lagoon.
The rooms are comfortable and feature modern amenities. In addition to air conditioning, there are ceiling fans, and even the smallest details—like a corkscrew in the kitchen cabinet—are carefully considered.
One of the greatest advantages of NIU Beach is its location—just step outside your bungalow, and you’re directly on the beach. The pristine white sand reflects the sunlight, and the turquoise lagoon is just a few steps away. This setting brings a magical quality to each morning. I definitely recommend booking a beachfront bungalow; the close connection to nature and the water is a true luxury, and the peaceful mornings instill a sense of tranquility that will stay with you for a long time. Plus, the hotel’s small size ensures a wonderfully quiet atmosphere.
The idyllic atmosphere at NIU Beach invites you to indulge in leisurely afternoon naps, strolls along the beach, reading on the terrace, relaxed meal preparation, and simply enjoying the moment.
It’s the kind of place where every day can be filled with pleasure and relaxation. Guests have free access to kayaks, conveniently located in front of the bungalows. I highly recommend spending some time floating on the lagoon just off the hotel, watching stingrays glide under the kayak in the shallow water next to you.

For convenience, the internet connection is good, parking is free, and the entire hotel is well-equipped for guests with limited mobility, including wheelchair accessibility.
The hotel’s restaurant serves breakfast only, offering coffee, tea, fresh juices, fruits, cheeses, croissants, jams, and eggs.
The NIU Beach bungalows feature fully equipped kitchens for those who wish to prepare their own meals. However, when you feel like taking a break from cooking, there are many nearby spots serving seafood dishes, tropical fruits, and traditional Polynesian cuisine. It’s a great chance to try local dishes like poisson cru - a Polynesian ceviche made with marinated fish in coconut milk.
At NIU Beach Moorea, I felt especially welcomed thanks to the professional and friendly staff. The hotel employees are not only helpful but also warm and eager to ensure guests’ comfort. The reception desk was always ready to assist with organizing activities, booking tours, or arranging snorkeling equipment rentals. The staff will gladly help you book a taxi at a specific time, find information about the island, or store your luggage. Every time I asked a question, I was met with a smile and a genuine willingness to help.
