I had the pleasure of spending a few days at Manava Beach Resort & SPA, in an overwater bungalow, which truly was exceptional. The bungalows are spaced out enough to give you an uninterrupted view of the turquoise water that gradually fades into deep blue, all surrounded by the gentle sound of waves. The most magical moment was enjoying my morning coffee on the quiet terrace of my overwater bungalow, wrapped in the luxury of silence, with only the soothing whisper of the ocean and the warmth of the rising sun. The mere thought of whales and sharks swimming in the distance, with colorful fish beneath my feet, was extraordinary. The hotel provides free snorkeling gear and kayaks, and after a day of activities, you can indulge in blissful relaxation at the SPA. Right beneath the bungalow, you’ll spot turtles and hundreds of colorful fish, with occasional sightings of stingrays and even sharks. The hotel is also in a prime location, with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Upon check-in, I was welcomed with small gifts that added a personal and intimate touch to the whole experience.
In the evenings, as I stepped out onto the terrace, I could hear splashes in the darkness—something large must have been swimming nearby, which only heightened the mysterious allure of the ocean. Colorful fish swam by, illuminated by the lights on the pier, creating a magical view that invited complete immersion in the beauty and tranquility of this place.
The hotel also takes care of guests’ comfort after their stay—showers and fitness towels are available even after check-out, allowing guests to make the most of their time there. Although my bungalow was available only until 11:00 am, the staff ensured I could continue using all hotel facilities beyond that time. Extra conveniences, like showers and fitness towels, were available even post-checkout. The 24-hour reception is there to meet any need: from currency exchange and bike rentals to arranging any reservation you desire.
The staff is committed to making guests feel well cared for—each day, small gifts with a kind note and wishes for a pleasant day and enjoyable rest were delivered to my room. Small gestures, like sending cookies or a water thermos to the room, made the experience feel more personal and luxurious.
